Member institutions, 1944-1985.

Records of 51 former and present member educational institutions, primarily colleges and seminaries in the South, such as Fisk University, Howard University, and Tuskegee Institute. Records consist of news clippings, newsletters, and press releases generated by the college and the United Negro College Fund; and publications including literary magazines, scholarly journals, catalogs, yearbooks, pamphlets, and brochures. Other records consist of reports on studies conducted by the schools and outside agencies, most notably the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Also, other reports issued by college presidents to boards of trustees, and financial reports, particularly certified audit reports. Additional reports concerning students and enrollments contain student rosters and some faculty and alumni lists.
